Chareau Aloe Liqueur

About Chareau Aloe Liqueur

Aloe vera is the star, bringing a bright, fresh new taste to the world of liqueur. Fresh ingredients grown in California are used in the distillation of this refreshing, alluring liqueur.

Some ideas: go low-ABV with a pairing of Chareau and your favorite soda or tonic. Or punch up everyday drinks, from vodka sodas to gin and tonics. And of course, adding agave goodness to tequila and mezcal cocktails is never out of line.

Taste this California original and be inspired.

Pour an ounce or two into your gin-and-tonic or margarita, and watch it transform into something magically more refreshing. It’s like your cocktail took a spa trip, with hints of watermelon and cucumber. - Bon Appetit

Tasting Notes

A subtle vegetal note from the aloe on the nose. Agave and herbal notes, with hints of cucumber and spearmint. Sweet melon and bright lemon on the finish.

Suggested Serves

Production Notes

It starts with eau-de-vie, unaged brandy distilled from grapes grown in the same vineyards that produce California's world-famous wines. This is infused with cucumber, lemon peel, muskmelon, spearmint, and finally, aloe vera juice. A touch of sugar for sweetening and pure California Spring water are the final ingredients.

Terroir

This liqueur is California through and through. Each of the ingredients used in its creation are found naturally in California. Ingredients are sourced organic and direct from family farmers, when possible.

Founder Facts

Inspired by California's abundance and natural beauty, Kurt Charron spent two years tweaking the recipe for Chareau before launching his initial run of 600 bottles, which sold out almost immediately. Chareau is named after his great-grandparents, Arthur Emile Charron and Florence Marie Favreau, farmers who moved his family to California, where they've lived ever since.
